Sharing is a good thing
Still feeling that special christmas feeling? We are still here at Simonsoft. We believe in sharing tips and trix and hope that our website can connect users of Arbortext and Isodraw. Here is something useful for you who like to create thicker outer contours and still wants thin and thick lines within the objects. There is a new feature in IsoDraw 7.2 that does most of that job for you. Maybee you have noticed that when you click the camera to create a 2D illustration in IsoDraw you have got an extra check box "fill contour". This little option create a path around every free object on your illustration and bind them together to create a fill. You can use this nice "no pen" paths to create thicker outer contours. I have created a video to show this step by step, check it out on our web.

Save your preferences in IsoDraw
There are a lot of preferences to set in Abortext IsoDraw. This is of course a great benefit of IsoDraw but it also means that you sometimes must decide on settings that you might never have concidered before.
Well, if you are afraid of losing your preferences there is an easy way of backing them up. This is also very useful when you change computer and you don't want to fiddle around in the preference dialog an entire afternoon.
On Windows 7 you will find your IsoDraw and IsoView preference files here:
C:\Users\Joakim\AppData\Roaming\PTC\IsoDraw\Preferences
In that folder you'll find .prf files that holds all your preferences. So, you can save them away somewhere nice and then when you get a new computer just copy them to the same folder on the new machine.
Happy IsoDrawing!
