At Simonsoft we feel that it is natural human behaviour to help others. Often we try to support NGO's that helps children to a better life.
So, we bought a Duck from BRIS. The duck is produced in just 1 500 copies. And the proceeds of it is going to BRIS of course.
The idea behind the duck is a play on words in Swedish. Billgren calls it "Änder som räcker barnen sina händer". That roughloy translates to "Ducks who lends their hands to children". In Swedish the word for duck, "änder" rhymes with "händer" which means hands.
But this is of course just a nice way of making it more attractive to give. The reason behind these ducks is to make BRIS be able to be open 24 hours a day. The main service BRIS gives to children is a phone hot line that children in need can call and get advice and help.
We are very happy to be able to support BRIS in this and hope that the money will help them keep the phone line open.
