But, if you reinstall your entire computer, move to another computer, or want to use the same default preferences on every Editor in your department well then you'll have to keep track of your preferences. We've written about this for Arbortext IsoDraw, but now it's time for Arbortext Editor and Styler.
The easiest way to do that is to save the arbortet.wcf file. It is located here:
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Arbortext\Editor\arbortext.wcf
All the preferences that you set in "Tools->Preferences" in Arbortext Editor or Styler will end up specified in the "arbortext.wcf" file. Also and ofte very important the default Window set up is stored in this file.
So if you always want to have the error messages to the right, save the window configuration when you have moved the window to your liking.
I'm always keen on having the full menu in Arbortext, so I have this setting to on:
<Option name="fullmenus" value="on"/>
This file is updated for each change you do. So if you do not want to change your window settings any time soon, make sure the following is set to no:
<Option name="savewindowconfiguration" value="no"/>
This setting can be specified in "Tools->Preferences->Window".
So, in short, store away your "arbortext.wcf" file when you have set all the prefences to what you want so that you can resuse it.
